My stay at the Marriott Greensboro Downtown had its highs and lows. While the staff in the Club Room were friendly and helpful, the front desk service was quite disappointing. I loved the exercise room, but the cleanliness of my room left much to be desired. Overall, I appreciate the hotel's charm and location, but the lack of attention to detail and service issues make me hesitate to return. 😕

Rooms
6.0
The room was big but had cleanliness issues, including dust and leftover food in the fridge. The bathroom was really tiny, making it uncomfortable. I expected more for the price I paid.
Service
5.0
While the Club Room staff were excellent, the front desk service was lacking. They struggled with basic requests like providing breakfast vouchers and adjusting our stay. This was frustrating.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location was fantastic, very close to downtown and local attractions. It made attending events like the ACC Women's tournament really convenient.
Dining
5.0
Although the room service had good options, the food wasn't great. I found the shrimp cocktail overpriced—$15 for just four shrimp—and the chicken Caesar salad was greasy.
Facilities
6.0
The exercise room was a solid point, and valet service was efficient. However, the printer didn't work when I needed it, further complicating my trip.

5.0/10

My stay at the Marriott Greensboro Downtown felt a bit lackluster overall. While the location was convenient for my needs, the cleanliness and room details left much to be desired. I appreciated the friendliness of the staff, but the mediocre dining options and inadequate room amenities took away from the experience.

Rooms
5.0
My room was okay, but it felt cramped, especially the bathroom. I found the wireless signal to be quite weak, which was a disappointment. While the bed linens were clean, I found remnants of previous guests' meals on the floor, which was a bit off-putting.
Service
5.0
The staff was attentive and helpful, especially at the bar. I appreciated the personalized recommendations for dining, although the food quality didn't live up to expectations. I did encounter some frustration with my room change request, but the friendliness of the staff helped ease my concerns.
Location
5.0
The hotel's location was great for accessing local attractions and venues, which worked well for my visit. However, parking was confusing, especially since there were concerts and events happening nearby, making it a bit tricky to navigate.
Dining
5.0
I was not impressed with the restaurant. Both breakfast experiences included cold and overcooked food, which was disappointing given the nice ambiance of the bar area. Room service also seemed to miss the mark, making me opt for local dining options after a couple of tries.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt a bit worn down, and I noticed some maintenance issues that could use attention. Additionally, it would be nice to have a microwave available in the room, as I found myself wanting one for leftovers. While they mentioned renovations might be coming, there was no information on the timeline.

The room was spacious and clean, which I appreciated, but there was no refrigerator, making it inconvenient for storing drinks or leftovers. The bathroom felt quite small compared to usual standards.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. They made an effort to resolve a mix-up with my room assignment and offered personalized assistance throughout my stay.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located right in the center of Greensboro, making it easy for me to explore nearby attractions and eateries. I enjoyed a lovely walk around the area during my visit.
Dining

Unfortunately, the restaurant left much to be desired. I had overcooked and cold eggs for breakfast, and the coffee was weak. I would definitely recommend skipping the restaurant in favor of nearby options.
Facilities

The hotel offered a range of facilities, but I was disappointed with the dining options. There were nice bar and lounge areas, though, making it a pleasant spot to unwind.

I had a pleasant stay at the Marriott Greensboro Downtown, noted for its friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms. However, the lack of a refrigerator in my room was a minor inconvenience, and I was surprised by the $11 nightly parking fee. Additionally, there was a hiccup with my room allocation related to a wedding block, though the staff did rectify it by moving my room.
